Safaris

We have exclusive concessions in South Africa ranging from the Free State Province, North West Province and Limpopo Province. Our concessions range in size from 24 000 acres, 12000 acres and smaller. It is important to note that South African wingshooting is 100% natural. We do not rear birds, nor put them out. They naturally occur in these environments.

Wingshooting in the African bush: sometimes visibility is limited and the terrain can be challenging

Wingshooting is truly an artform and as such our primary focus is on this discipline. However, every safari (which in essence is a journey) can be tailor-made to suit your requirements. Talk to us and let us know how you want your unique journey to unfold. Below, a guideline then of what we offer in terms of wingshooting.

Pigeon Shooting

Our season usually starts with pigeon shooting from mid-March to as late as the end of July. The season is not cast in stone and flexible as it depends on the maturity of the crops as well as being dictated by the onset of the rainy season in the previous year.

When doing a pigeon hunt, you can expect to bag three different species:

  • Rock pigeon
  • Ringneck pigeon
  • Laughing Dove

A group should consist of at least two hunters. Contact me for more information.

Mixed Bag Safari

A mixed bag safari is on offer from 01 May to 30 September each year. It can include pigeon shooting but our focus generally shifts towards the multitude of game birds on offer in South Africa, most notably the hunt is on for guinea fowl, francoline, ducks and geese.
